Compressor stations, located every 40-100 miles along a pipeline, enable natural gas to travel through pipelines by compressing the gas to a specified pressure. These high pressure, and sometimes, high-temperature environments require carbon pipe with up to .500 wall thickness along with corresponding components such as Flanges, fittings, ball valves, Axial Check Valves, and butterfly valves.
